Panca chili

Panca chiliCapsicum chinense L.

Panca chili belongs to the genus capsicum. It grows on medium plants in tropical and subtropical areas of America. Today, we can find it up to 1,500 meters above sea level. It was highly valued by pre-Hispanic cultures such as the Chavín, Moche and Nazca cultures and remains a symbol of culinary identity in several countries, such as Peru. It can be used to add flavor and zest to foods and snacks.
